The Shippensburg University Brass Ensemble helps students focus on performance opportunities to let them reach the highest level of musical independence and responsibility. Members perform outstanding and challenging brass chamber music from the Renaissance to today. The Shippensburg Brass Ensemble performs in a concert during the fall semester and goes on an annual tour as well.
Performance Opportunities
The Brass Ensemble has performed at the New York Brass Conference, Lincoln Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, South Street Seaport in New York, the Washington National Cathedral, as well as Atlanta, Boston, and Canada.
Instrumentation
The Shippensburg Brass Ensemble features instrumentalists on Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Euphonium and Tuba.
Rehearsals
Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-4:45PM
Auditions
Auditions are not required to join Concert Band.
